FrameReview Privacy Policy

Effective September 1, 2026

FrameReview, displayed as FrameNote within the macOS app, processes movies, feedback notes, annotations, and reference images locally on your Mac. The app has no accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking, or network service, and does not send your data to the developer or third parties.

Local files

You choose the movies, images, project packages, and export destinations the app can access. Movies are referenced in place. New reference images are stored as bounded PNG copies without the original image metadata. Your original images are not changed.

Project packages contain notes, annotations, copied images, and the source movie's local path and macOS access bookmark. Reports contain the feedback and any images included in the chosen export format; they do not contain the movie's access bookmark or absolute source path.

Projects and exports are not encrypted by FrameReview. Anyone with access to those files may be able to read their contents. Share them only with people you trust and use the protections provided by macOS and your storage system for confidential material.

Retention and deletion

Saved projects and exported reports remain where you choose to save them until you delete them. Remove these files in Finder when you no longer need them. The app removes its current temporary working copies when replacing a project or quitting normally. A crash can leave temporary copies for macOS to clean up. Copies you share with others or store in backups are outside the app's control.

Storage services and Apple

If you choose an iCloud Drive, network, or third-party synced folder, that service may transfer the files according to its settings and privacy policy. FrameReview does not implement that synchronization. Apple handles App Store purchases and may process diagnostics according to your Apple account and device settings and Apple's policies.

Support

Use the App Support link on FrameReview's App Store product page. If you voluntarily send a support message or files, they are shared through the communication service you choose; the app does not automatically upload support data.
